New Wittario App – What's New for iPhone and Android

The Wittario app has been updated with a new design, improved maps, additional language support, and enhanced accessibility. The latest version is available in the App Store and Google Play, making it easier for participants to complete learning activities on their mobile devices. In this article, you'll find an overview of the key improvements and how to get started with the updated app.

 1. New Design and Improved Maps

The Wittario app has a fresh, modern, and more user-friendly design, making it easier to navigate between activities, content, and tasks.

What's improved:

  • A new look and feel consistent with the rest of Wittario.
  • Easier navigation and a clearer overview of activities.
  • Improved map functionality, helping participants find their way to stations and checkpoints in GPS-based activities.
2. Support for Norwegian, Swedish, and English

The app now supports three languages:

  • Norwegian
  • Swedish
  • English

This makes it easier to use Wittario across countries and within organizations where participants prefer different languages.

3. Assigned Activities and Organization Branding

For participants who sign in with their organization account, finding and completing assigned learning activities is now easier.

Assigned Activities on the Home Screen

Participants can see activities assigned to them directly on the app's home screen, without having to search for them.

Your Organization's Logo and Colors

The app displays your organization's branding, including its logo and colors, providing participants with a more familiar and consistent experience.

4. Improved Support for Wittario Studio Settings

More of the settings configured by administrators and activity creators in Wittario Studio are now supported in the mobile app.

Require Participants to Watch Videos in Full

If a video is configured to require full viewing, participants must watch the entire video before proceeding to the next tasks.

This is particularly useful when important information needs to be reviewed before answering questions.

Stop Accepting Responses

When an administrator stops accepting responses for an activity, participants can no longer submit new answers through the app.

This provides better control over when an activity is closed.

Improved AR Categorization

The AR categorization task type has received a clearer and more intuitive visual design, making it easier for participants to understand and use.

5. Enhanced Accessibility

The updated app includes improvements that make learning content more accessible to a wider range of participants.

Text-to-Speech

Participants can have tasks and learning content read aloud. This is particularly helpful for those who prefer listening instead of reading.

Support for Larger Text

The app automatically adapts to the text size settings on the participant's mobile device. If larger text is enabled on the phone, the app follows that preference.

6. How to Update the Wittario App

The latest version is available for both iPhone and Android.
