What is SCIM?

SCIM stands for System for Cross-domain Identity Management.

SCIM is an open standard used to automate user identity management across different systems. With SCIM 2.0, an identity provider can send user and group lifecycle events directly to Wittario.

This means that users can be created, updated, or removed automatically based on changes made in the organization’s identity provider.

How SCIM works in Wittario

Wittario acts as a SCIM 2.0 server.

The identity provider acts as the SCIM client. This means that your identity provider pushes user and group lifecycle events to Wittario.

Each Wittario organization has its own SCIM endpoint. The endpoint is secured with a unique bearer token to help ensure that only authorized systems can communicate with the organization’s SCIM integration.
